3 Channel Video Installation with found objects + sound performance
2021

“Dusty tiles, salty pines” is a 3-channel video installation and sound performance centred on the concept of friction within the landscape. Found objects create a sound landscape amplified through contact microphones, creating friction and resonance through performative gestures. The work uses video footage, field recordings and found objects from local land-use sites such as greenhouses, a marble quarry, esparto grass fields, orchards, a pink salt lake, a hydro dam, and an electrical power plant.
